ET Stamey has been an integral part of Clinton for many years. You will not find a man more committed to his hometown. He has served on City Council for 11 years where he has remained committed to balancing moving Clinton forward while maintaining the small, hometown environment. ET has served on the Anderson County Fair Board for over 15 years where he can give you a countdown to “The Best 6 Days of Summer” at any given moment. He also serves as the President of the Clinton Rotary Club which supports many community projects. When given a task for the community, he gives his all. He raised 1.5 million dollars for the new Clinton High School Sportsplex. He also founded the Clinton City Schools Blaze Well-Rounded Program which provides a wide variety of experiences for children in the community including swimming, track, cross country, dance, cheer, basketball, archery, dance, color guard, bowling, reading clubs, art clubs, and much more. Not only is he the face of the program, but he raises funds through community and business organizations to sustain this program without taking from instructional funds. The impact that ET has with children in Clinton City Schools cannot be measured. They adore him! He is a constant encouragement to students and takes them out of their comfort zone to reach new heights.
The list of what ET does in the community is enormous! He collects coats each year for CAC, he keeps the blessing boxes filled at all three schools, and he delivers meals to those in need. He is seen early in the morning at Food City and can be found throughout the town of Clinton all day long – serving others. He consistently puts the needs of others above himself. ET’s heart is genuine and pure. There is no one quite like him.
In December, ET had a massive stroke. He is currently at Knoxville Rehabilitation Hospital participating in three hours of intensive therapy each day. He will be returning home soon where he will need some special accommodations to successfully live at home. It is time for our community to give back to ET!! He has done so much for all of us, and it is our turn to say, “Thanks!”
We would like for the family and friends of ET Stamey to come together and surprise him with some home renovations that allow him to be independent and successful when returning home from rehab. We need to build some ramps, renovate his bathroom, and do some other upgrades to his home in Clinton prior to him being released.
Our time period is short to make this happen, and we need your help! We have people who have volunteered to help make this happen; however, we need money for materials and supplies. Please consider donating to cover the costs of this surprise renovation!
We want ALL funds to go straight to ET, so we have chosen to not do a Go Fund Me. We have set up a special account specifically for ET. You can give in the following ways:
We appreciate your consideration in giving back!
